An intergenerational village for children and seniors
on the banks of the Frio River near Leakey, Texas.
Big Springs Ranch on the Frio was established as a
working ranch in 1930 by Oma Bell Perry and her family.
It opened as a children's home in 1998.
Four children's homesteads, housing eight
grandparents cottages are open.
on-campus charter school comprised of a high school and separate middle
school serve the children on the Ranch as well as children from the
RV Park on the Frio River is now open for visitors.
Tours of the Big Springs Ranch can be arranged by calling
