The Davenport Homestead

The first children's residence to be completed was the Davenport Homestead. The Davenport Homestead is named for benefactors Bob and Lucille Davenport. At the dedication in 1999, Executive Director Gary Priour addressed a crowd of about 400 men and women to set forth the challenges that lie ahead as the Big Springs plan continues to unfold. Those who attended this event included media reporters from Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Austin.
