The Ranch

The legendary "Country of 1100 Springs" was given to Hill Country Youth Ranch in 1996 as a 7,000 acre working ranch and haven for at-risk and orphaned youth, and as a place for seniors to retire, bringing their experience to help and teach. It is also the site of the Thousand Angels Sculpture Park, a series of meditation gardens depicting the life of Christ in bronze.  A wilderness campground area of 2,500 acres has been set aside for churches, agencies and others serving at-risk and underprivileged children.

Nature conservancy areas have been designated.  One day a retreat and training center for caregivers and others will welcome pilgrims from all over the world to visit, rest and join in the healing and peace-giving atmosphere.  The intergenerational village will grow to house 45 children by 2007, and will include a private school for these and other children from nearby communities. Childcare workers, educators, builders, donors and volunteers are needed now.
